I know, I know. Matching is technically a fashion sin, but when my sweet boyfriend surprised me with the S’well bottle I have been drooling over for months I had no choice.

Here’s What I Love About This Surprise

S’well bottles are obviously amazing, we all know that. Keeping cold things cold and hot things hot while being so sleek and adorable is a work of genius. But there are a few things about this bottle that I particularly love.

Stone Texture

When I first took my S’well out of its case, I was a little off put but its bumpily texture. I was expecting it to be smooth and soft, but instead felt like my water bottle had been wrapped in skateboard grip tape. But after the initial shock, I realized this was so perfect for me as I have a tendency to accidentally throw things while talking wildly with my hands (see my broken iPhone, and the beautiful lone wine glass remaining from what was once a set of four). My boyfriend, who has witnessed a number of these incidents, clearly knew what he was doing when he picked this gem out.

Amethyst Color

Purple is not my color. But this strange pink-purple somehow stole my heart at the MAC counter several years back when I tried on Heroine for the first time. Heroine is my go-to color shade any time I need a little extra something. It is unexpectedly versatile, perfect with a little black dress on a night out, or with skinnies on a casual day at the office.

Too much of this color would just be… too much. But that’s what makes it the perfect accent; as a water bottle, as a lip, etc.

Needless to say, I will probably spend too much time oggling this new beauty, but hey, at least I’ll be hydrated.
